(1) We parked
just before going downhill to Goat Creek Picnic Area.
The trailhead here is just beside this powerline.
(photo was taken after descending).
This mountain is supposedly one of the most popular
scramble... we still managed to lose the trail and ended
up on the "Climber's Route".
(1) After a bit of bushwacking we found the trail. At the treeline,
we hiked directly towards the rockband seen here.
(2) There were a lot of snow/ice on the way up. The weatherman
promised sunshine today but we didn't catch a break. Here's
Alex on the second summit looking for the register.
(1)
From the second summit, we scrambled down and up to the first
summit for a lunch break. Still no sun... still no register.
(2) On our descend, we simply followed the left ridge. The
sun then started shining. All we could do was sigh, so we
stopped at a cliff and enjoyed the view there.
This scramble took us 2:30hrs to both peaks and 1hr down.
