(1) Grizzly Peak as seen from the Ripple Creek, about 1km pass
the Grizzly Day Use picnic area. This is my second attempt after
a non-stop nose bleed.
(2) The trail starts above and left of the creek, very easy
to follow... until you reach the grassy(snowy) slope on the
right side of the mountain seen here. I didn't wait to see the
saddle before heading up, I just went up at this point.
(1) I had to scramble in between small jagged pinnacles with
hip-deep snow and occassional ice. I only felt better when I
saw the saddle. I knew I was getting close.
(2) At the top,
I lost most of the sunshine and it started getting very cloudy
and cold. I did not enjoy the view at all.
