(1) A few minutes pass the end of Ptarmigan Cirque trail (signed),
we scrambled up the lower part of the ridge.
(2) We started getting welcomed by a mixture of sun and cloud.
The wind, although strong was not too cold. So we took our time
and tackled the ridge carefully and headed towards "Ian's
Pinnacle" (false summit).
(1) At the time that we had zero visibility, I had to stop and
review the route, while Ian wrestles with the pinnacle.
(2) The summit is just minutes away. But first, this is what
we had to go through. There were too much snow and strong
wind at the ridge.
(1)
After 6 hours of hiking, scrambling and careful snow crawling,
we finally reached the summit.
(2) We had about fifteen minutes to enjoy the view before
another zero visibility kicked in. We hiked back blind anyways
worried about the time, but it only took us two hours to get
back to the car.
