| Daechongbong
Peak 1709m/5607' |
(1) These are Jungcheong Shelter and Daechongbong Peak.
(2) This shelter takes up to 150 people. We were here
Sunday night so it wasn't very busy. |

(1) The next
morning, we were hoping for a nice sunrise but the mountain
was covered by thick fog. The cold wind was also unforgiving
on our way to the summit. We could barely stand still.
(2) Cheers to the third highest summit of South Korea. |

We descended
towards Osaek. This was our originally planned ascent
route. This route is shorter but boring and dry. It was
a good thing we went the other way.
Our descent time was 3hrs. |
