 NorthEast
of Toronto, my estimated 2-hour trip was actually 3 hours.
Bon
Echo Provincial Park is one of my favorite parks. I invited
a few of my friends to share the beauty of this natural environment. |
 The
ever famous Bon Echo Rock. This rock face rises above Mazinaw
Lake, one of the deepest lakes in Ontario.
From this point, with a few steps and a bit of kick-swimming,
you could easily get on to the other side, to the foot of the
rock face. This is also one of the base of many rock climbing
routes. Unfortunately, there is no swimming allowed in this
area... |
 ...so
you'll have to be on one of these. If you're rock climbing,
the Alpine Club I believe will provide a small boat, but of
course you have to register. You could also rent a canoe or
kayak. |
 It's
probably cheaper if you rent a canoe, and you can control
your own time.
It takes about six hours to venture around Mazinaw Lake,
for a dufus like us maybe weeks. |
